Ciaran
Gaffney
Ciaran Gaffney crash-landed on
this planet in 1989. The initial panic was soon replaced by immense
adoration for furry little whiskered things most people refer to as 'cats', and
quickly made sure he acquired many of these for his very own. He lives in
Vermont with his family and partner, surrounded by winter. He makes up for
the inconvenient summers by drawing lots of wintry things. Inspired by the
Golden Age illustrators and the writing of Cormac McCarthy, Ciaran attempts to
weave sometimes-tragic scenes of snow and fleeting warmth through illustration
and wordsmithery.

Abigail
Larson
Abigail had ambitions of becoming an opera singer and
joining the circus whilst growing up, and although neither of those ended up
working out too well, she still enjoys both.
She began drawing with ink and
painting with watercolor. She has developed a taste for flat digital coloring,
however, and only gets a craving for paint now and again.
Her inspirations change almost
weekly, ranging from Edgar Allen Poe to Lewis Carroll to Dr. Seuss. Her greatest
artistic influences have been Arthur Rackham, John William Waterhouse, and
Edward Gorey.
Any spare time that's not spent basking in darkness or watching re-runs of
The Addams Family, she is creating art for private clients, illustrating books, and
spending time with her favorite long-leggity beasts, ghouls, ghosts and various
other things that go bump in the night.
For more information or to see
more of her works, check out her website
.
She also has a blog.
Jade Liebes
Keeper of one too many cats,
Jade is a comic artist and illustrator who may or may not run entirely on chai
tea and cupcakes. She is not a huge fan of digital art, though she's known to
throw color around in Photoshop, but she prefers drawing entirely by hand with
pencil and ink.
A nerd at heart, she has a love for history and science, particularly physics and astronomy, but she can't do a lick of math. When Jade isn't drawing, she's more than likely reading some book or another, and more than likely listening to music. Or, just as likely, she's busy wrangling her pets that are currently ruling her house.
Jade counts among her influences Glen Keane, Alessandro Barbucci, Jen Wang, Aubrey Beardsley, Kay Nielsen, and many other artists that she's come across and sometimes met through comics and the internet. She has one self-published comic called Maps and is always working on more comics and illustrations, while also trying to make a name for herself, somewhere (and ideally in a good way).
At the moment, Jade can only be found on deviantART.

Siolo Thompson
Tiny artist
statement:
As an artist I am obsessed
with capturing small, beautiful pieces of everyday life. My focus on
figurative art attempts to describe the acidentally elegant gestures and
poignant, transient beuaty of the people around me. Every life is full of
stories and armed with my pencils and brushes I try to find those stories and
give them life on a canvas.
Siolo Thompson is a fine
artist and editorial illustrator based in Seattle, WA. Her work is primarily
figurative and narrative in nature. She loves overcast weather, experimental
fiction and animals with short legs.
